Privacy policy

Last updated October 15, 2026.

The short version

SubnetGym has no accounts and no sign-up. Your progress stays in your own browser. We measure page views and page speed in aggregate so we can see what helps people learn. We do not sell data and we do not run ads.

What stays on your device

Your XP, level, streak, quiz history, skill progress, best times and settings (theme, sidebar and quiz preferences) are saved in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data or using the reset button on the Progress page deletes it.

SubnetGym itself does not set cookies.

What we measure

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It records the page visited, the referring site, and the visitor's country, browser, operating system and device type. We use Vercel Speed Insights to measure how fast pages load. Neither one receives your progress or anything you type into the lessons, tools or quizzes.

Vercel processes this data under its own privacy policy.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel receives standard request data, such as your IP address and browser details, in order to serve pages and protect the service.

Children

SubnetGym has no accounts and never asks for personal information, so it does not knowingly collect any from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, for example if we add advertising or affiliate links, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change goes live.
